Dip in the pool

Holiday wardrobe

I’ve already had my summer holiday back in May, I went away for a week with the girls. It was devine, a week in the sunshine sipping cocktails by the pool. It was the kind of holiday where we just relaxed, sunbathed and didn’t do a lot else.

Leading up to my holiday I started to look around for swim suits, as we all know, you need a new swimsuit for your holiday. I’ve turned some of my favourites into illustrations. I love these swimsuits from New Look and this high waisted bikini from Shein. Now wishing I had another pool holiday planned so I have an excuse to buy the spotty bikini.

Little White Dress

Summer Glow

I’m back off my holiday, and back to rainy old Britain! I spent last week in Fuerteventura with my two gal pals, sunning it up, relaxing, doing a spot of shopping and tapping up that free bar!
I’m back at work and the weather is just been tipping it down. Thankfully I still have my holiday glow to get me through the rubbish weather.

On a brief break in the rain, Dave and I had a date day. Starting off with brunch, then heading to the cinema and ending the day with a Wagamamas. It was great to spend some quality time with him after being apart for a week. We snapped these photos in the middle of our date day.

I wanted to wear my new white dress for two reasons, firstly its new and I’m always obsessed with new clothes and secondly it shows off my tan. Now compared to my two friends, I’m not that tanned but for me this is a blooming good tan.

This weekend marks Dave and I’s first wedding anniversary, I’m putting together a especial post to mark our first year as a married couple.

What I’m wearing –
Dress – New Look
Jacket – Episode Vintage

Summer Fun

We took these photos on probably the windiest summers day. I checked the weather forecast for leaving and decided it was best to have my hair up for this shoot. Soon as I had decided to wear my hair up I thought I’d replicate this cute ponytail look, using my polkadot scarf I picked up on our honeymoon in Barcelona. I love the mix of gingham and spots.  Even though my hair was up it still blew all over the place and my poor fringe wasn’t looking its best by the time we started taking pictures.

I’m wearing this beaut of a dress from the lovelies at Collectif, I mean it’s vintage inspired, perfect shape for my figure and gingham print, whats not to love about it. It’s perfect for this summer heat and so easy to wear. It also has pockets, which we all know is an added bonus!

For it’s first outing I went for a monochromatic look but I think it would look hella cute with red accessories. As were in high summer I’m making use of all my summery accessories, like this straw bag and my espadrilles. I think they complement the dress perfectly. Equally I think I can layer a jumper over the top and add in ankle boots for autumn. This dress is defiantly a good wardrobe staple for me.

After going for a coffee in one of the cutest local independent coffee shops. Dave and I headed in search of pretty streets for these snaps and I think we hit the jackpot. I had so much fun swanning up and down this pretty street in my new dress. I’m really pleased with how this set of images turned out.

Summer Dreaming

– HELLO SUNSHINE AND JUMPSUIT OF DREAMS –

While away in Amsterdam I came across this dreamy jumpsuit on a shopping trip to Mecca aka &Other Stories. Sadly they didn’t have it in my size but after a couple of frantic days searching it appeared on their site and I snapped it up, boy am I glad I did. It has since sold out and is no longer showing on their site.

I can not tell you how much I love this jumpsuit, I mean the fit is amazing and the print is so me. Dave’s parents are throwing us a party to celebrate our wedding the day after our big day and I plan to wear this outfit for it. I might even add some jazzy red earrings.

To mix things up I’m wearingly embroidered mules but think it would look equally good with my red block heels or even my vans for a casual look. I’m really pleased with this buy, I think it will serve me well for many years to come.

This season straw bags are huge and all over the high street and I’ve been listing after this Topshop beaut for some time. It will be perfect for our mini moon, were headed to Barcelona. We can’t wait and will of course share plenty of snaps from our trip!
