I’ve already had my summer holiday back in May, I went away for a week with the girls. It was devine, a week in the sunshine sipping cocktails by the pool. It was the kind of holiday where we just relaxed, sunbathed and didn’t do a lot else.
Leading up to my holiday I started to look around for swim suits, as we all know, you need a new swimsuit for your holiday. I’ve turned some of my favourites into illustrations. I love these swimsuits from New Look and this high waisted bikini from Shein. Now wishing I had another pool holiday planned so I have an excuse to buy the spotty bikini.

With the new year it brings a clean slate, it springs me into a motivated splurge. I’m putting together some thoughts on going into 2019 and what I want to achieve for the year ahead, which I’ll share over the weekend.
While I park my goals for the year ahead to one side for now, this post does linked back to it… As I want to be more creative this year, and one of they ways I want to achieve this is by illustrating more. Which leads me nicely to the topic of this post.
I do love creating drawings around everyday objects, especially my favourite beauty products. To me theres something special about taking normal, often mundane or overlooked items and creating them into flat lay drawings.
I’ve been busy creating lots of new illustrations to share over the coming months. I’m currently working on my annual birthday wish list – which will be hitting down in early Feb. This particular set of drawings feature some of my most used and most loved products – and some things that are always in the bottom of my handbag! If you have any ideas of things I could draw, do leave me a comment. I love creating new work and can always do with new ideas!
Our ceremony was beautiful, we both cried. We went on to drink Prosecco in the tree top bar, not before we stopped for a huge confetti photograph with the whole wedding party. Confetti really does get everywhere! I was really pleased with how these shots turned out and all my hard work whole punching that confetti. Another thing I’m really proud of is my illustrations I used for our wedding stationary, table settings and wedding welcome. It was great seeing them in place and all the months of illustrating them paid off.
After a few Prosecco’s and a go on the rides, it was time for dinner and we all headed back to the ballroom for fish & chips. Followed by some very special speeches by our very loved family and friends.
In-between all this and I snuck away for some couple shots. I loved our venue and it made the perfect backdrop for our wedding snaps. The day just wizzed by so fast and before we knew it, it was evening and time to party. Will share more of our evening do in the next post.
If you have any questions about our wedding day or planning a wedding, please let me know. I’d love to help advise with what I learnt.
It’s the month of my birth but more on that later in the week, I’ve creating a Birthday wish list for things I’d like to buy myself or if someone lovely wanted to treat me to it I’m game.
First up we have red sunnies, these are something I really want for summer time I mean they scream 60’s chic! Also fancy getting my hands on a new red lippie and I love this shade from Nars. Next up is this bag, I mean how bloody cute is it! I have full on heart eyes for this bag. Logo tees and cropped flared jeans are high on my list, along with all the knitwear I mean it’s still bloody freezing out so chunky knits are key. Last but not least are these boots, just imagine these boots with those cropped jeans. Yasss a very cute look indeed.
Make-up is one of my favourite things, not saying I’m any good at it but I love buying it. I’ve had my eye on this foundation, blusher and lippie from Nars. I’ve heard great things about this Maybelline concealer, I just need to find a Boots that stock it, each one I’ve visited hasn’t had it in stock, doh! This eye shadow pallet from NYX is neutral with a shimmer and feel it would create a great smoky eye effect whilst highlighting too.
Over all I think I need to get my hands on these products! Do you have any beauty must haves I need to know about?
This cherry spot combination blouse from Topshop is a beaut, longing for summer months to wear with these cropped jeans and a nice sandal, for now I’d team with these dreamy boots. Another slogan tee makes the list, I just adore this J’adore tee from Boohoo. I think with a red skirt in the summer months would be hella cute. You can shop my picks below.
Do you have a wish list ready for payday? Hope you’ve enjoyed my wish list and illustrations, all lovingly drawn by myself. If you’d like to see more or have any ideas of drawings I could do, please let me know.
