What I Wore To LoveBox…

simplybe_superdryIMG_8507IMG_8530To create my festival look I opted for this long line kimono from Simply Be to layer over this super cute Superdry dress, and to give the look a little more edge I opted for these backless booties from Just Fab. No festival look is complete without fringing (well in my book) I picked up this bucket bag from Forever 21 with my Westfield Stratford Voucher. To add the finishing festival touch I donned my floral crown from my good friends at Mad Elizabeth.IMG_8493IMG_8851I’m really pleased with how my outfit came together, it was tricky picking the pieces separately and hoping they would all work together. I first picked the kimono from Simply Be – thinking this could work with dresses, skinny jeans or even a playsuit. This lay the foundations, next up was picking my Superdry item, sadly the day the Fashion Sept girls were heading to the flagship store on Regence street I was ill with a stomach bug, I had to pick online with this I opted to keep it safe and went for this white dress – I’m really pleased that I did as I think they went well perfectly! Onto my feet, these were made glam by Just Fab, I went for these backless booties as I felt they would go not only with this look but many more to come. They weren’t to high which is a plus when walking around a festival all day and I really liked the buckle details, they give the booties a little more toughness. My bag was more a grab before the Forever 21 store closed but boy am I pleased with it – I love a bit of fringing, not that I’ve ever owned any but have always wanted to. There are so many reasons I love this bag, fringing, stud details, plaited handle, bucket bag and it fits so much into it! Like I said lots of reasons to love it, plus the price it was only £19.99!! Bargain for sure!

Adiós Salou…

salou_105 salou_109salou_113

Sadly this is my last post from sunny Spain, I didn’t get as many photographs as I’d have liked – this is mainly down to enjoying the holiday, not taking my camera with me on any day trips as I didn’t want to carry it in the heat and therefore I was relying on Dave to kindly take photographs… for me to pinch. I’m naughty like that, he’s just so darn good at taking nice pictures!

This is what I wore for our last evening in Salou, I brought this dress for Dave’s 30th Birthday party back in May. I was having such fun at the party, I didn’t get chance to get any photographs of the party or my dress, not even an instagram snap! I guess I couldn’t pick a nicer place to wear it again than sunny Spain. I wanted to be fancy so I donned my floral crown and to give the look a little edge I teamed it with my beloved cut out booties and tres chic clutch bag.

Golden Flowers…

vibrant_park_013vibrant_park_01Every now and then I feel we create something special, where everything falls perfectly into place. To me these photographs represent this. The outfit came together nicely and with minimal effort, the weather was on our side and we found a new spot in the common. Plus with it being golden hour the light was perfect and these photographs were born. Over the years of blogging I’ve realised I prefer to create qualtiy images instead of quick churned out images and posts. This has made me slightly fussy with what I post and makes me grateful for the time Dave puts into this blog, as after all he gives my photographs that dreamy yet technical edge and I’m very lucky to have him helping me! I guess there is just something I find magical about creating my own little editorial esque photographs.

vibrant_park_001vibrant_park030vibrant_park_02My outfit is built up of firm favorites, I love the bold blue bag against this dress. The delicate floral pattern and the floral hair band combined with the the tougher edges of the black jumper and Dr Marten shoes. I feel it all works well together and I’m really pleased with everything about this set of photographs! vibrant_park032vibrant_park027vibrant_park_What I’m wearing –

Fleur de Peau…

hair_band_001Happy New Year All!

I’m excited to share with you some special photographs Dave and I created for accessory brand Fleur de Peau. With a bohemian, retro style hairbands hand crafted designs from Lille in Northern France. As soon as I saw the Noushka AW13 collection, beautifully styled and the photography by Lyne,  it just captured my imagination! I wanted to create my own version of  whimsical romance and had intended for a woodland location but due to British weather (it always rains when I have big plans!) we… err, well Dave set up this studio in our bedroom against our lovely slate grey wall and I’m so pleased with the results!

Sugar Candy…

sunday_043Sunday1I often get asked how I find all my vintage clothing and bags. Lately I’ve had mixed luck with my vintage thrifting, I found the best treasure with my Chiltern bag. Yet when I’ve been on the hunt for new dresses or clothing I haven’t had any luck! I usually spend my weekends mooching around charity and vintage stores in the hope of finding a special little number. As I’ve lucked out I thought I’d give online shopping ago, but I despise ebay! So I thought I’d have a look to see what other clothing sites were out there specialising in vintage, I mean theres the usual sites but I wanted something a little special and stubbled upon Brag Vintage. I ended up getting this little khaki green skirt, I found the site really easy to navigate and they have some adorable little vintage gems. It’s a site I thought you’d all like to know about and I’m happy to share it with ya’ll! Can you believe I ditched the tights, in October!? No, neither can I! Over the weekend the weather was really warm and I braved the no tights club and wore my cut out brogues and donned my floral crown – probably for the last time this year.  sunday_057sunday_042SundayWhat I’m wearing –

Summer Haze…

Flower Flower1The sunny weather still continues to bring the heat to London, which is taking its toll on me. Its also making house hunting harder but hopefully that will be sorted soon. We’ve put an offer on a flat so lets see if the landlord accepts it, fingers crossed we’ll have a new home soon! The house hunting has also taken up all of our time, which has left my blog a little neglected, but I am back on track and have lots lined up to share. I also wanted to say a big thank you for all following my blog, I’ve reached 10,000 subscribers. Yikes!!! Thats a hell of a lot of people tuning into my little corner of the internet. I’m really pleased ya’ll like it… I shall stop gushing now 🙂 Flower5Flower2What I’m wearing –

Pretty Photographs…

It’s been a hectic couple of weeks, were house hunting for a new pad. Which is taking up all our evenings and weekends, my poor blog has been a little neglected but I am rectifying that! For now I thought I’d share a selection of pretty photographs that didn’t make it into posts but I felt there was something special about them and didn’t want to waist them. Some I just forgot to include them into posts until it was to late to add them, others didn’t quite fit into a post and some are just from everyday life. Theres lots of different reasons why I like them and I hope you do too!

Oh to be beside the seaside…

SeasideA couple of weekends back while down in Kent visiting Dave’s family, we wandered down to the sea front. It was a scorcher of a day with the sun on full heat and no where to hide. It was lovely strolling along the pier but after a while it got to hot for us and poor little Coco so we headed inside. Here are a couple of photographs we took.Seaside1 Seaside3Seaside2

Mad Elizabeth…

Howdy Mad Elizabethans!

I’m honored to be the first guest blogging over at the brand new and shiny Mad Elizabeth blog!
I’ve been friends with Claire for a number of years, we met while studying our MA degree and have remained close friends ever since. We bonded over our love of vintage and retro fashion. I was lucky enough to witness the birth of Mad Elizabeth their vintage store. I often by vintage gems off them, like this floral crown. As we all know I’m a huge fan of head wear! In the summer months florals are a must, my outfit was built around this floral beauty! Teaming it with a floral dress, you can’t have to many flowers in one outfit, right!?

Candy Floss Flowers…

Brogues4Brogues2I’m wearing some beloved items that I’m not to sure have been seen on the blog before, this skirt I brought in Amsterdam at Bij Ons Vintage. The bag is from Camden Town on a trip I took to London when I was 18 or 19 years old, I’ve loved it ever since but doesn’t come out as often as it should. Something I’m working on, trying to get old favorites out and about and dusted off. I’ve teamed the skirt with a simple pale pink t-shirt. Then was looking for what shoes to wear and remembered these cute pastel brogues and knew they were the ones to wear today. At the last minute I added the floral crown and it just topped off the outfit. It wasn’t a cold day but wasn’t the warmest this it didn’t stop me from wearing this outfit as I’m slightly in love with it. We had little showers of rain while in the park so sheltered under the trees and found a cute little spot to take photographs and will be returning to this hidden little spot.Brogues5Brogues6Brogues1What I’m wearing –
