Dip in the pool

Holiday wardrobe

I’ve already had my summer holiday back in May, I went away for a week with the girls. It was devine, a week in the sunshine sipping cocktails by the pool. It was the kind of holiday where we just relaxed, sunbathed and didn’t do a lot else.

Leading up to my holiday I started to look around for swim suits, as we all know, you need a new swimsuit for your holiday. I’ve turned some of my favourites into illustrations. I love these swimsuits from New Look and this high waisted bikini from Shein. Now wishing I had another pool holiday planned so I have an excuse to buy the spotty bikini.

Swimsuits – new Look
Bikini – Shein
Sunglasses – ASOS
Straw Bag – Topshop
Sandals & Earring – Zara
Sliders & Scrunchy – Topshop
Phonecase – Skinny Dip
Lippie, Nail Varnish & Compact – Chanel
SPF Sun Block – Nivea

Daily Essentials

But First Coffee!

With the new year it brings a clean slate, it springs me into a motivated splurge. I’m putting together some thoughts on going into 2019 and what I want to achieve for the year ahead, which I’ll share over the weekend.

While I park my goals for the year ahead to one side for now, this post does linked back to it… As I want to be more creative this year, and one of they ways I want to achieve this is by illustrating more. Which leads me nicely to the topic of this post.

I do love creating drawings around everyday objects, especially my favourite beauty products. To me theres something special about taking normal, often mundane or overlooked items and creating them into flat lay drawings.

I’ve been busy creating lots of new illustrations to share over the coming months. I’m currently working on my annual birthday wish list – which will be hitting down in early Feb. This particular set of drawings feature some of my most used and most loved products – and some things that are always in the bottom of my handbag! If you have any ideas of things I could draw, do leave me a comment. I love creating new work and can always do with new ideas!

Summer Edit

The summer is in full swing and I am lusting after everything in Topshop. It’s hard as I don’t want to invest in high summer garms as Autumn is just around the corner but we’re in the midst of a heatwave here in the UK. Our heatwave’s been on going for a good month now, we never have weather like this for so long here in England, like never!

I’ve got my eye on items that I think will see me through to autumn perfectly. Like those leopard print heels, worn with that pink wrap dress and plastic see-through bag, I mean dreamy outfit or what?!

Another outfit I’m lusting after is this ASOS kissing faces vintage tee, worn with this very 70’s style denim skirt and camel coloured shacket – shacket is a jacket and shirt hybrid. I would also team those leopard print heels with that hella cute red bag. As you can see I’m after items that can build outfits and mix and match.

This watercolour spot print midi skirt is great for the warm weather but will look equally good with a big wooly jumper over the top. For now I would team with this cute pale pink tee, layering the cropped pink denim style jacket and pink mules.
That red blouse styled with the denim skirt or even jeans when the weather changes and of course I’m living for those heels. I’ve convinced myself I need those heels in my life now. Any these goodies take your fancy?

I’ve created an Instagram page to share my illustration work, if you fancy giving it a follow that would be lovely ๐Ÿ™‚

Little Floral Bag

As my last outfit illustration went down so well I thought I’d create another. This flat lay features my cord dress and snazzy Burgundy earrings. My much loved leather jacket and Zara tapestry bag, which is my absolute favourite bag ever! Which I must say, I’m oh so pleased with how the illustration of it came out. It’s so detailed and I’m really proud of it ๐Ÿ™‚

A couple of my favourite beauty items is this Chanel lippie and foundation powder and my trusty conceal by Benefit. My new watch I picked up at a recent Timex event, I’ll be sharing an outfit post featuring this beaut of a watch with ya’ll very soon!

How are you all enjoying Blogtober? I’ve survived my first week, only three more to go ๐Ÿ˜‰ Let me know any posts you would like to see!
