Dip in the pool

Holiday wardrobe

I’ve already had my summer holiday back in May, I went away for a week with the girls. It was devine, a week in the sunshine sipping cocktails by the pool. It was the kind of holiday where we just relaxed, sunbathed and didn’t do a lot else.

Leading up to my holiday I started to look around for swim suits, as we all know, you need a new swimsuit for your holiday. I’ve turned some of my favourites into illustrations. I love these swimsuits from New Look and this high waisted bikini from Shein. Now wishing I had another pool holiday planned so I have an excuse to buy the spotty bikini.

Summer Edit

The summer is in full swing and I am lusting after everything in Topshop. It’s hard as I don’t want to invest in high summer garms as Autumn is just around the corner but we’re in the midst of a heatwave here in the UK. Our heatwave’s been on going for a good month now, we never have weather like this for so long here in England, like never!

I’ve got my eye on items that I think will see me through to autumn perfectly. Like those leopard print heels, worn with that pink wrap dress and plastic see-through bag, I mean dreamy outfit or what?!

Another outfit I’m lusting after is this ASOS kissing faces vintage tee, worn with this very 70’s style denim skirt and camel coloured shacket – shacket is a jacket and shirt hybrid. I would also team those leopard print heels with that hella cute red bag. As you can see I’m after items that can build outfits and mix and match.

This watercolour spot print midi skirt is great for the warm weather but will look equally good with a big wooly jumper over the top. For now I would team with this cute pale pink tee, layering the cropped pink denim style jacket and pink mules.
That red blouse styled with the denim skirt or even jeans when the weather changes and of course I’m living for those heels. I’ve convinced myself I need those heels in my life now. Any these goodies take your fancy?

I’ve created an Instagram page to share my illustration work, if you fancy giving it a follow that would be lovely 🙂

A pop of red

Day two of ‘Blogtober’ thought I would share a cute outfit illustration I’ve created.

This fall season red is a key colour, it’s all over the high street stores and designer catwalk. From dressing head to toe in the shade red or adding a pop of colour with a shoe or jumper. Either way I’m thrilled about it as it’s one of my favourite colours and I already own so many statement red items.

To update my key items a little I’ve brought some red tassel earrings – tassel earrings are another huge trend. This is an easy one to dip into and wouldn’t cost you too much to try out.

Over the month I will be mixing things up from my usual posts and will try my hand at sharing key trends for the season ahead, as well as my usual fashion outfits. Fingers crossed I can keep up this ‘Blogtober’ up – doesn’t bode well that I’m saying that on day two 🙈

Is there any content you would like to see?

The AW15 Edit…

My AW15 Wish List –

Soon as I opened the ASOS magazine, my heart started to flutter – so much outfit inspiration within its pages. I quickly jumped online and gathered all of these pieces seen in illustration form into my basket, but alas my bank balance wont allow me to press the order button (sobs uncontrollably). As I’m loving the 1970’s vibe even more than usual – I always love the 60’s and 70’s style but more so currently – and as I’m skint, I thought it would be fun to share my current wish list / coveted edit for AW15. I really think these picks would create the perfect fall capsule collection. What’s you’re top picks for AW15? aw15_02The A line skirt is a must for creating this 70’s look, I’m lucky enough to own the denim one already (thanks cheeky staff uniform), I’m after the perfect 70’s inspired tee to complement the skirt and this Sun Haze one would go down a treat.aw15_instaOutfit one – Sun Haze T-shirt, Denim Pinafore, Coat (preview in magazine), Bag & Shoes – ASOS aw_outfit_01Outfit Two – Bow Shirt, Suede Skirt, Bag & Coat (preview in magazine) – ASOS
