Little Life Update

I’ve been feeling like I’ve neglected my blog recently, it seems I can’t juggle multiple things as well as i thought I could. I’ve been pouring all my time into designing a range of prints and holiday cards, in the hopes to sell them this Christmas. I’m aiming to have them all designed by end of August and launched in my Etsy store by middle of September. I’d love to ship worldwide and for this to be achievable I need to allow plenty of time for shipping, as the mail in the US is slow to say the least. I’m planning to have a rang of 12 Christmas cards, to sell as packs and individually. I think I’m most looking forward to the product shots, I have so many ideas of how I’d like these to look.

I’ll also be selling vinyl stickers ideal for jazzing up note books, laptops or even reusable water bottles. As well as my illustrations in both little postcards and as bigger prints. It’s all very exciting if a little daunting. I’m relying on Dave to help fund and kick start it off the ground. My hope is things will sell and I can funnel that money back into more stock and options of prints for the store.

I’m also trying to come up with branding and it’s very apparent to me I’m no graphic designer, so if any of you followers have any ideas of my Illustrating Amy branding should be like, holla at your girl, I’d love to collaborate. I’ve really struggled to get a job due to old Rona, I’m hoping if i pour all my time into this new venture and have all my fingers crossed it will become my full time job. I have my first round of stickers and post cards on oder and will be heading to my store at the end of August, for now I’m stocking it with some of my most popular illustrations as downloadable prints. If you fancy getting your hands of one head over to my Etsy to take a look. Lots more will be coming to the store very soon!

Thats all my news to share. How have you all been? It’s taken some time to get used to this staying home and having Dave home all the time but now I don’t think I’d like it if he goes back to the office. I’m finally in my groove and actually getting up at a more sensible time and putting structure into my day. I also think it helps I have something to focus on. Hope you’re all good and able to enjoy the summer even with everything going on in the world.
