Neighbourhood Strolls

After being in a style rut for what felt like months, I finally feeling like I’ve came out the other side. A couple of things have helped me achieve this, shopping my wardrobe and finding new ways to re-style things, making a new dress and birthday presents. It was my birthday on the 11th Feb and I am truly awful at letting people know when it is, not sure why that is. Anyway, I digress, I am finally out fo my style rut, hurrah!! On Saturday Dave and I headed for a walk to Santa Monica which is becoming our weekly tradition. After a stroll along the beach we popped into H&M for a mooch and to get me something for my birthday. I walked away with two skirts and a cardigan, two of which you can see in this post. I did intend on getting this floral dress that I illustrated but when trying it on, it just wasn’t doing anything for my body shape.

With this skirt I knew exactly how I wanted to style it and dug out this old tee, adding the chunky cardigan for texture. Hair in a half up, half down pony mainly to hide 2 day old hair. I adding my scarf for a little something extra and I hate seeing hair bobbles and I was ready for a stroll around our hood’.
