New Year, New Hair

New Year, New Hair, Same Old Me

We’re back from our visit back home to the Uk, we got back on Monday night and thankfully jet lag isn’t as bad coming back to the states as it is going to England. I think I spent most of the two weeks waking up at 3.30 am every morning until the last three days we were home *insert rolling eyes emoji here* Anyway, I’m not here to moan about my lack of sleep and it was totally worth it getting to see so many of our friends and family over our two week trip. I have a couple posts still to share from our visit but for now I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year!

I hope you had a good one! Mine was low key and it was exactly what I needed. I had a girly sleep over with two of my favourite babes. We stayed up late gossiping, drinking bubbles and eating the most amount of cheese we could possibly fit in our bellies – I still feel full thinking about the amount of cheese I ate. I had to get all the soft cheeses in while I could! One of the things we miss most about our life back in London is the amount of cheese we could choose from, sadly the cheese selection in our local supermarket here isn’t a patch on cheeses back home.

I’m working on a big old post about my goals for 2020, as I really enjoyed putting together my looking back post. I’m taking my time to really think about what I would like to achieve for the next year both personally and for this blog of mine. Are you one to set goals or resolutions, or do you go with the flow?

I must say that I’m really digging my new hair cut, I know I mentioned about getting it cut in my last post but it’s much easier to dry and style now. In my own words I have Hagrid and Hermione Granger’s (early days Hermione) love child’s hair – I know that’s not a nice image but it best describes my hair.

Thats right, big frizzy and oh so thick. I have to straighten it most days, I know its bad but I even straighten it before curling it as its just too thick. I know, I know, I’m lucky to have thick hair but man the heat this thing traps in the summer months is too much.

While back in Kent I took the opportunity to see my lovely hair dresser Kailey and get a good amount chopped off, also a cheeky refresh on my balayage and I’m loving it. Dave even said its his favourite hair cut of mine, which is a big deal! He usually always wants me to keep it long, so I take this as high praise from him. Just to note, I obviously don’t listen to him when it comes to my hair, as I’ve been slowly having my hair cut shorter and shorter since last summer, I guess I just knew I wanted a cute bob but took my sweet ass time over getting it.
