Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas sign
This iconic welcome to Vegas sign is a must for anyone visiting the city. Now my top tip is to get there early in the morning, we arrived at 7am and thankfully were the first people, there soon was a queue of people waiting. It also helps with the heat, getting there early in the morning means more time for posing before becoming a sweaty mess 😉
A Little White Wedding Chapel
This is on famous wedding chapel with plenty of stars getting married here. Most recent is Sophie Turner & Joe Jonas but my personal favourite is Britney Spears! It’s in the old end of the Vegas strip – the best end in my opinion. I got Dave to stand in the drive entrance to the chapel to line up both signs in the shot. A wide angle lens would be useful for a shot like this but as we had a fixed 35mm I’m really pleased Dave was able to make it work. It’s near Fremont Street with plenty of old neon signs and this leads me onto the next location.
The Plaza Hotel has so many instagram spots, with plenty of lightbulbs covering all over the front of the lobby and sides of the hotel. We slide down the side fo the hotel away from the crowds to capture theses shots. In-fact anywhere on Fremont Street is the ideal spot for a neon or a gazillion lightbulb shot like these above. Another good spot is the Circus Circus hotel entrance but sadly we didn’t get time to visit.
The Future is colourful stair case
We discovered this colourful staircase while walking the strip and visiting hotels. This art installation located on the strip-side Plaza staircase, resembling a rainbow and serving as a celebration of diversity in Las Vegas. Created by former graffiti artist Tanya “Miscre8” Watler, I love that it was created in celebration of diversity and its simplicity, it really is beautiful. As I was wearing reds and pinks I opted to pose in the red tones section. Now a little word or warning for anyone planning to pose here, these steps were boiling due to the midday sun! I think this was the quickest photographs we’ve ever taken. I was like, snap away Dave my bottom is burning!!
Seven Magic Mountains
I am doing a whole separate post on this location because it was just too pretty not too and we took lots of photographs that I want to share. Technically this spot is just outside of Vegas but well worth a visit. We arrived as the sun was setting and it was full of people, if your after the perfect gram shot with no-one in the background I’d advise getting there as the sun is rising. I go into more detail about this place in my blog post make sure you check it out here.
Now this place could be an instagram spot in LA or anywhere on the West Coast but as we took these snaps in Vegas I’ve added it to here.
