Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon has always been a bucket list goal of mine. I’m so pleased and thankful we were able to tick it off the list. There is nowhere else quite like it, its really hard to grasp the sheer enormity of it. I’d love to make another trip there, maybe in a cooler month – it was sweltering there! Also, maybe with some hiking gear and actually spend more than a day there. With it being a 4 hour drive from Vegas it didn’t leave us with a huge amount fo time to explore. What we did see was incredible. Around every turn is a stunning view!

Now I’m scared of heights and to get the perfect shot we did have to get very close to the edge. We wandered off the path and down to a ridge, the ridge was huge but with sheer drops either side. You defiantly needed to watch your footing and make sure you kept an eye on where you were stepping. I’ll be real with y’all, I scooted out to this edge on my bottom, too scared to look over the edge, even though I did dangle my feet off. I was wearing trainers and took my time to get as close to the edge as I felt comfortable with, compared to Dave & Clare I was a long way from the edge – now they do not have fears! I’m really pleased I pushed my phobia of heights and got that shot!

What I’m wearing –
Dress – Topshop
Hat – ASOS
Sunglasses – Ray Bans
Trainers – Vans

  1. Wow, what amazing photos! And well done for conquering your fear of heights. I can barely LOOK at these pictures without feeling a bit sick so to do the real thing must have been insanely scary x
