Exploring our new neighbourhood

Abbot Kinney & Venice Beach

Heres a quick round up of some of my new favourite stores and beautiful street art in our local neighbourhood. We live about 20 minutes walk to Abbot Kinney and 30 minutes to Venice Beach. On Saturday armed with our cameras, we headed out to explore.

I brought a very cute hair clip from Ananda, there was so many nice things I wanted to buy in this store. It’s quite an alternative store and a little on the hippie side but some very nice dresses and hair accessories. I could have easily spent some dosh in here.

Aviator Nation firstly has a seriously cool exterior and retro vibe, Ive got my eye on some of their 70’s style logo tees. Very fun and colourful unisex store, well worth a visit, plus that wall is perfect for getting a new instagram shot!

The store Burro is probably my favourite, it has a lovely mix of fashion, lifestyle and stationary. I think it’ll be the place I buy birthday cards & gifts from. It has so many nice things to look at. I could of easily picked up multiple cards, books and candles if I had the budget*

*currently un-employed as I’m waiting for my EAD work permit to be processed.

The lovely greeny/teal wall we found in Venice. We had walked to the beach but with it being a sunny Saturday, it was heaving. We will be back and I’ll make sure I take plenty of snaps to share with y’all. If you have any recommendations of places we MUST see in Los Angeles please send them my way!
