Looking Ahead

– Rust, Leopard Print & Gold –

Working in fashion it’s hard not to wish the seasons away, while our brains and bodies are in summer mode the high street is transiting into autumn. With the temperatures still in the mid 20’s and even hitting highs of 36 degrees last month in London. This is like holiday weather, which is great while sunbathing next to the pool but not when traveling on the under ground to and from work.

On a recent mooch around the shops you can see the difference in product hitting down, half the store is high summer and half is new season. What drew my attention to this dress was the rusty red colour, it’s perfect for autumn but it’s still light weight enough to wear at the moment. Teaming it with my leopard print mid heels is a my nod to fall. I’m thinking my leather jacket would look dreamy with this. I do miss wearing my leather jacket but by no means am I wishing the weather away, I mean we never have summers like this and I want to soak up every second of the suns rays.

I love the colours in these pictures. Rust and leopard print with touches of gold. This little box bag really doesn’t get enough air time on the blog. I feel ultra feminine and sassy in this outfit. I think my little gold hoops and necklace add an extra touch of sass and complement the rust perfectly.

Are you still shopping for summer or are you eyeing up your autumn wardrobe?

  1. A perfect outfit, Amy! The colour is beautiful on you. I had a last minute midi skirt/dress splurge which I fear I won’t be able to take advantage of as the temperatures in Leicester plummet – it’s hardly freezing but I do feel the cold. Likewise, I’m going to buy a baker boy cap this week to go with my vintage grey jacket from Brick Lane market and I my wishlists are filled with ankle boots so I guess I’m ready for autumn too x

    1. Layer them up with jumpers, jackets and ankle boots! I’m keeping my eyes peeled for the perfect pair of ankle boots, if you’ve got any recommendations send them my way! I used to feel the cold when I lived in Birmingham, now I feel I’m always hot, I guess its the London commute on and off the tube! xx
