Corn Field

Over the weekend Dave and I headed back to my home town of Birmingham for a family fun packed weekend. Starting with my aunts surprise 80th birthday party on Friday night. We had so much fun and lots of my cousins came over from Ireland and we were up till 3am having the best time (if you know me, you’ll know I’m not a late night person, must more a morning gal I am).

Then on Saturday after a good fri-up to dust off the hangover we headed to Stafford to see my Father. He lives in a really cute village with fields surround his house, the views are dreamy. I spotted this field of crops opposite my Fathers house and in typical blogger fashion I had to take some outfit photos   in it. Being very careful not to damage any crops I posed amongst them and Dave got snapping.

I’m wearing this midi skirt of dreams, I mean, just look at that print. It’s a big fat yes from me. For its first outing I’m wearing black so the skirt can do all the talking. I also dug out this blue bag and it matches perfectly. I have so many colourful bags that I think I’ll be able to mix it up each time I wear this skirt. Like usual I’m also wearing my Vans, I think I’ve lived in trainers this summer. I promise to mix it up a little soon and start wearing my ankle boots and other shoe collection, it’s just trainers are the comfiest and easy to grab. I think it’s safe to say that midi skirts have been my summer must have.

What’s been your summer must have?

What I’m wearing –
T-shirt, Skirt & Belt – Topshop
Bag – BHS
Necklace & Earrings – Freedom, Topshop
Trainers – Vans
Leather Jacket c/o ASOS

  1. You look so pretty among the corn! Midi skirts have been my summer staple too – the crazy, prolonged heatwave meant a lot of shopping was done to replenish my dwindling summer wardrobe but I’m not complaining! x

    1. I always felt my winter wardrobe was stronger but this summer I feel I was able to even it out and have a really big summer selection now – mainly consisting of midi skirts. I’m planning to layer big jumpers over the top for winter worn with an ankle boot. xx
