Summer Fun

We took these photos on probably the windiest summers day. I checked the weather forecast for leaving and decided it was best to have my hair up for this shoot. Soon as I had decided to wear my hair up I thought I’d replicate this cute ponytail look, using my polkadot scarf I picked up on our honeymoon in Barcelona. I love the mix of gingham and spots.  Even though my hair was up it still blew all over the place and my poor fringe wasn’t looking its best by the time we started taking pictures.

I’m wearing this beaut of a dress from the lovelies at Collectif, I mean it’s vintage inspired, perfect shape for my figure and gingham print, whats not to love about it. It’s perfect for this summer heat and so easy to wear. It also has pockets, which we all know is an added bonus!

For it’s first outing I went for a monochromatic look but I think it would look hella cute with red accessories. As were in high summer I’m making use of all my summery accessories, like this straw bag and my espadrilles. I think they complement the dress perfectly. Equally I think I can layer a jumper over the top and add in ankle boots for autumn. This dress is defiantly a good wardrobe staple for me.

After going for a coffee in one of the cutest local independent coffee shops. Dave and I headed in search of pretty streets for these snaps and I think we hit the jackpot. I had so much fun swanning up and down this pretty street in my new dress. I’m really pleased with how this set of images turned out.
