Tatty Devine Workshop

Back in the summer I had the privilege of attending a jewellery workshop run by Tatty Devine. The workshop was held in the Brick Lane store, here in London – one I know very well. It’s one of my favourite haunts,  I love heading to Brick Lane for shopping, it’s like Mecca for us vintage store worshippers!

Now I’m a novice when it comes to jewellery making, it was great fun  sitting down to a table with 5 other ladies.  Well it was until I found out they were all experienced jewellery makers and a real dab hand at their craft. I was a little daunted,  but thankfully one of the lovelies who works for Tatty Devine was on hand to help me. I found it very fiddly and instantly regretted failing to take my glasses with me. Doh! rookie mistake!!

I  persevered and managed to make my very own rainbow necklace – insert proud face here. The Tatty Devine workshops are great fun and I was given great one on one guidance.

If you are stuck for gift ideas, I think it would be ideal for birthday or Christmas presents, or make a group booking for a hen or birthday party. I would recommend this to any Tatty D jewellery fans or anyone who is into original, quirky jewels!

  1. I love the brooches made by Tatty Devine in partnership to raise money for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, they are divine! They were featured by Mark Heyeson Lorraine this morning http://www.itv.com. Discover their paw-some jewellery collection that’s purr-fect for top dogs and cool cats everywhere! £3 from each piece of jewellery sold goes straight to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to help support the amazing work they do finding loving homes for animals in their care. Raising money for charity and owning an exclusive piece of Tatty Devine jewellery? It’s a win-win! http://www.tattydevine.com
