117 Wilson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11237Journal - 5Worship is a vintage store found in the heart of Brooklyn – this store was super fun to mooch around in and even had a cute dog to pet while shopping the racks of vintage. The store stocks clothing for both women and men with a passion for fashion and style. Founded in 2013 by Sara Villard and Vashti Windish, Worship specailses in vintage and independent designer clothing, accessories and specialty goods inspired by artist and musicians all over the world. Their religion is creativity and they strive to provide a highly curated collection of vintage clothing and accessories from the 1900’s through the 1990’s.nyc_149nyc_148These shoes above were to die for but sadly they pinched far to much and didn’t come home with me. There was so much to browse and take in, I was in ore. The collections were laid out nicely and with such a huge array of accessories to choose from I could of spent all day in there!

We then headed in search of more vintage treasure troves and came across the L train vintage and a couple others (which sadly I can’t remember the names of but were great fun to). The L Train was huge and if it wasn’t for our rumbling tummies and Mexican food calling, I could of happily shopped all day! I did however come away with a denim jacket for $5.00, which I’m pretty pleased with! I really wanted a camouflage army jacket but couldn’t find one in my size, they were all huge! On my next trip sate-side I will be heading to Brooklyn in search of more vintage goodies!!
I’m pretty lucky as my sister and her husband live in Brooklyn and were able to show us around these vintage hot spots – thanks Carina & Nick! We also had some great Mexican food and visited some other cool independent shops while in the area too.nyc_163 Photos – Shooting Dave

  1. Oh man!! What a lot of fun, and beautiful photos! I wish we had a vintage clothing store nearby, I can see some cute polka dot dresses just in your photos. Loving those yellow rimmed sunglasses, too. =D
