Merry Christmas!!

Why are Christmas trees so bad at sewing?

They always drop their needles!

Why did no one bid for Rudolph and Blitzen on eBay?

Because they were two deer!amy_blog_032amy_blog_018

We’ve made it safely to Dave’s parents in Kent, we had a relatively easy journey down – unlike last years, what with those crazy storms! I’m very grateful for a stress free journey. I’m now relaxing and sitting by the fire as I type this, it’s pure perfection!

This is my favorite summer dress, I’ve always thought it was a great winter floral print. To make it more weather appropriate I added my faux fur coat, my cut out ankle boots and my all time favorite vintage clutch bag. I think it’s the colour palette within this dress that lends it’s self so perfectly to winter and the highlights of  brown fur and the grey finish it off perfectly! While taking these photos we were battling the winds, it was hard keeping hold of my fringe and keeping my dress down, thankfully we persisted and I’m really pleased with how this outfit turned out. I hope you all have a lovely festive day, I have a special survival post coming in the next couple of days with my top tips and tricks to unwinding after the over eating and how I keep cosy over the holidays!
